Metabolic clinic
The Metabolic Clinic.
One-to-one metabolic and hormonal health, in London.
Who this is for
The clinic client.
The clinic is intentionally focused on adults from their twenties to their mid-forties. The practice is not gender exclusive.
Many clients arrive with prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance, thyroid dysfunction, PMOS, endometriosis or other complex metabolic and hormonal concerns.
Most have already tried different diets, supplements and wellness routines, or received fragmented and conflicting advice. They are now looking for someone who can bring the whole picture together and create a clear, thoughtful and genuinely personalised way forward.
What to expect
Three months, minimum.
This is a deeply personal, clinically informed programme led by Maria, not a quick fix or a generic plan. Your plan is guided by your health history, lived experience and relevant biomarkers, never by assumptions, and change comes from structured nutrition, considered lifestyle adjustments and consistent implementation.
Most clients commit to a minimum of three months, and some need longer, depending on their starting point, medical history and goals. The programme can mean a significant dietary and lifestyle reset, so it helps to begin during a quieter period. If you would like Maria's view before you commit, start with a Food Diary Review.
With consistent implementation, the programme may support:
- Improved energy and reduced fatigue
- Better digestion and gut function
- More restorative sleep and a healthier circadian rhythm
- Improved hormonal and metabolic health, including body composition
- Greater mental clarity, a steadier mood and a more balanced relationship with food
The process
How the work unfolds.
Six considered stages take you from your first conversation through to implementation and follow-up. The initial consultation is booked and paid for separately. It is an assessment and a vetting process, so you and Maria can both decide whether the programme is the right fit before you make a longer commitment.
A 60-minute consultation, held in person or online. We explore your health history, current routine, dietary habits, supplements, prescription medication, family history and personal goals. We also discuss your readiness for the discipline, consistency and commitment the programme requires.
Maria reviews your most recent blood work, ideally completed within the previous three months. If further testing is appropriate, this may be requested through your GP or arranged privately at an additional cost. Any recommended investigation is explained and agreed with you before you proceed.
For the first two to three weeks you record your food, sleep, energy, digestion, movement, cravings and emotional state. This is not about judgement or perfection. The diary becomes a mirror, often revealing patterns around food, mood, sleep and daily habits that might otherwise stay hidden. Your protocol is built from your real life, not from assumptions.
Once all required information and results have been received, your initial protocol is prepared and delivered within three to four days. It may include nutrition, sleep, circadian rhythm, movement, recovery, stress regulation, breathwork, meditation and supplementation where appropriate.
We go through your protocol together in detail, so you understand what you are doing, why each element matters and how it fits into an ordinary working week. This is where the written plan becomes a practical way of living, structured around your health, responsibilities and daily life.
Your first follow-up takes place roughly three to four weeks after implementation. Your second follows around three weeks later. Your response is reviewed carefully, questions are addressed and the protocol is refined according to your progress.
