These pages set out the rules for using this website, buying services from Maria Gautam, buying physical or digital products, and how personal information is handled. They apply to every visitor and every client. If any part of these terms is unacceptable to you, please do not use the site or book a service.

Maria Gautam is a trading name of BRONC LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17363918) with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. When you buy through this site, your contract is with BRONC LTD.

01. Using this website

Purpose

The website provides information about Maria Gautam's metabolic reversal practice in Central London, along with the products she offers and the workshops and talks she runs. It is not a substitute for personalised medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Anything you read here should be discussed with a qualified clinician before you act on it.

Acceptable use

You agree to use this website lawfully and in a way that does not damage, disable, overburden or impair the site or interfere with any other visitor's use of it. Automated scraping, harvesting of personal data, or misuse of any interactive element is not permitted.

Intellectual property

The site's content, wordmark, tagline, articles, protocol documents and downloadable materials are the property of Maria Gautam and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may read and refer to the material for your own personal use. You may not modify, reproduce, distribute, publish, adapt, extract or commercially exploit any part of it without prior written consent from Maria Gautam.

No medical warranty

Information published on the site is offered in good faith and reflects Maria's clinical judgement and the current evidence at the time of writing. It is provided for general informational purposes and no representation or warranty is given, express or implied, as to its accuracy, completeness, suitability for any particular purpose, or ongoing availability. Maria Gautam accepts no liability for any action you take based on information published on the site outside a professional engagement.

02. Clinical services and bookings

Who can book

By booking a consultation, Programme, Food Diary Review or workshop, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract with Maria Gautam. Places on the practice are limited by design; not every enquiry can be accepted, and Maria reserves the right to decline any booking that falls outside the scope of her practice or where she judges another clinician would serve you better.

Payment

Payment for a service is due at the time of booking unless a written alternative has been agreed in advance. Card payments are processed via a secure third-party payment gateway; Maria Gautam does not store card details on the site.

Cancellations and rescheduling

Please give as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before a scheduled Assessment or review session may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to the full session cost, at Maria's discretion.

Refunds on services

Refunds for services already delivered are considered on a case-by-case basis and must be requested within 7 days of the session. Where a Programme is paid upfront and a client chooses to stop mid-way, any refund of unused sessions is calculated pro-rata at Maria's discretion, taking into account clinical work already done outside of session time. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

Services bought online

You can cancel the Food Diary Review or an Aesthetic clinic booking within 14 days of paying, for a full refund. If you asked for the service to start within those 14 days, you pay for the work already done, and the right to cancel ends once the service is complete: when Maria sends your Food Diary Review, or when your Aesthetics treatment is done.

Aesthetic clinic booking fee

The £50 booking fee comes off the price of your treatment. Maria confirms your appointment after reviewing your medical screening form, and refunds the fee in full if a treatment isn't suitable for you. Once the 14 days have passed, the fee isn't refunded if you cancel or miss your appointment.

Client responsibilities

The practice works because both sides show up. You agree to arrive on time, share relevant clinical history honestly, follow the protocol Maria writes for you to the best of your ability, and complete any biomarker testing agreed as part of the plan. Failure to engage with the protocol does not entitle you to a refund.

Confidentiality

All information you share as part of a clinical engagement is held in confidence and not disclosed to any third party without your explicit consent, except where disclosure is required by law or by a professional regulatory body.

03. Physical products

Physical products offered on the site currently include Shilajit. Additional products may be added over time.

Ordering and payment

Product orders are placed via the site and payment is taken at checkout via the secure payment gateway. Prices are shown in GBP and include VAT where applicable.

Shipping

Products ship from the UK, to UK addresses only, by tracked delivery for £3.95. Maria Gautam is not responsible for delivery delays caused by the courier.

Returns

You can cancel an order within 14 days of receiving it, then return unopened products in their original packaging within a further 14 days. You get a full refund, including the original standard delivery charge, and pay the return postage unless the product arrived damaged or defective. Opened perishable or consumable products cannot be returned for safety reasons, unless they arrived damaged or defective. In either case, please contact Maria at maria@mariagautam.com before sending anything back.

Subscriptions

Where a product is offered on a subscription (for example Shilajit resupply), you may cancel or pause at any time by logging into your account or contacting Maria before the next dispatch date. Cancellations after a dispatch has been processed take effect from the following month.

04. Digital products and protocols

Digital products currently include The Thyroid Restoration Method, the 6-Day Gut Reset (and any future programmes), downloadable guides, and paid content that may be published on the site over time.

Access

Once payment is confirmed you will receive your download links by email. For The Thyroid Restoration Method, Maria also emails the dates and links for the live group sessions. Access is granted on a personal, non-transferable basis. Sharing your access with anyone else, or reproducing the material, is not permitted.

Refunds

When you buy, you agree that access starts straight away and that you then lose the 14-day right to cancel. Because digital products are delivered instantly and can be copied, all digital sales are final and non-refundable, unless the material fails to deliver or contains a defect that is not corrected within a reasonable time. If you cannot access what you have paid for, contact Maria as your first step; most issues resolve within a working day.

Copyright

All digital materials are the intellectual property of Maria Gautam. They are licensed to you for personal use in your own practice. You may not copy, redistribute, publish or resell any part of them without prior written consent.

05. Privacy policy

Maria Gautam is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information. This section sets out what is collected, why, and how it is handled.

Who is responsible for your information

BRONC LTD, trading as Maria Gautam, is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. Contact: maria@mariagautam.com, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ.

How the website is run

This website and its shop run on Shopify. When you place an order, sign up for emails or send a message, Shopify processes and stores that information on Maria's behalf, including on servers outside the UK under Shopify's data protection safeguards. Payments are handled by Shopify Payments. Maria sees the payment status and the last four digits of your card, never the full card number.

What is collected

• Contact information you provide directly: name, email, telephone number, postal address where you order a physical product.
• Clinical information where you become a client: relevant medical history, biomarker results, food-diary entries, protocol adherence notes.
• Account information if you use the client platform: login credentials, notes and messages held inside that platform.
• Payment information is handled by the payment provider; only the transaction status and last four digits of your card are visible to Maria.
• Usage data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected via Shopify's analytics, only with your agreement.

How it is used

• To provide and manage the services you have booked.
• To process orders, payments and shipping.
• To communicate with you about appointments, orders, or your protocol.
• To respond to enquiries you send via the contact form.
• To improve the site and the practice.
• To meet legal and regulatory obligations.

Legal basis

Personal information is processed on the following legal grounds: performance of a contract you have entered into with Maria; compliance with a legal obligation; Maria's legitimate interests in operating and improving her practice; and your consent where required (for example, opt-in marketing communications).

Sharing with third parties

Personal information is not sold. It may be shared with the following categories of processor strictly for the purpose of running the practice: the provider of Maria's clinical records system, the payment gateway, the email provider, Shopify (which hosts the website and shop), and any professional adviser (for example an accountant) bound by their own confidentiality duty. Personal information may also be disclosed where required by law or by a competent regulatory body.

Cookies

The site uses cookies that keep your cart and checkout working. If you agree through the cookie banner, it also uses Shopify's analytics cookies to see how the site is used. It does not use advertising cookies. Your browser remembers, on your device only, the name, email and order number you enter on the food diary, and whether you have signed up for emails. Videos play from YouTube, which sets its own cookies only if you play one.

Email updates

If you sign up for workshop dates and new articles, your email address is kept in Maria's customer list in Shopify and used only for those emails. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

Messages and food diaries

Messages sent through the contact form, and each day of a Food Diary Review diary, are emailed to Maria. Food diary entries are health information. Maria uses them only to prepare your Food Diary Review, with your explicit consent. She keeps them for 7 years after your last engagement with her, the same as her clinical records, and then deletes them.

Clinical records

Records for clinic and Aesthetics clients, including the Aesthetics medical screening form, are kept in Maria's own clinical records, not on this website.

Retention

Personal information is retained only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law. Clinical records are kept in line with the professional standards for practitioner record-keeping, typically for a minimum of 7 years after the last engagement.

Order records are kept for 6 years, as HMRC requires.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to request access to the personal information Maria holds about you, to have it corrected, to have it erased where there is no overriding legal reason to keep it, to object to certain kinds of processing, and to request a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact maria@mariagautam.com.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how your information is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Security

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are taken to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. No system is perfectly secure and you accept that risk when transmitting personal information to any website.

Changes to these terms

Maria Gautam reserves the right to update these terms from time to time. Where a change is material, reasonable notice will be given before the change takes effect (for existing service clients this is at least 30 days). The date at the top of this page shows when the terms were last updated.

Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from or in connection with them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
